A full-house bathroom overhaul in Los Angeles — multiple bathrooms, powder room, and vanity areas remodeled in one coordinated design language. The owner wanted every wet room on the property to read as part of the same house: large-format bookmatched marble-look porcelain slabs, brushed gold fixtures, and clean minimal cabinetry across all of them.

The unifying language
Three details carried across every room:
- Floor-to-ceiling large-format porcelain slabs with Calacatta-style white-and-gold veining, bookmatched where the slab divisions meet
- Brushed gold / champagne fixtures throughout — faucets, shower hardware, cabinet pulls, glass-door hinges, shower door handles
- White quartz countertops with undermount basins, consistent across vanities
Bookmatched slab installation
The signature detail in every room is the bookmatched slab layout — two slabs cut from the same block and installed mirror-image so the veining mirrors across the seam line, forming symmetrical patterns on the wall. It’s a meticulous install: the slab pairs have to be selected from the showroom specifically for their veining match, then laid out on the floor and tuned before cutting, so the seam lands exactly where the mirror line is strongest.

Showers
Each shower uses the same slab language — walls, bench, niche shelf all in the same marble pattern. The pebble tile floor stays neutral so the walls do all the work visually. Linear drains run along the back wall of the enclosure instead of center-of-floor, so there’s no visible drain in the body of the shower. Brushed gold ceiling-mount rain head, hand wand on a slide bar, body spray, and a digital steam control integrated into the slab.

Hidden details that matter
A few details the eye doesn’t register at first but make the space work:
- Access panels tiled continuously into the slab wall — the pattern crosses the panel so there’s no visual break
- Security sensors, speakers, and intercom endpoints finished in matte white that disappear against the slab
- Outlets and switches positioned off the symmetry axis so they don’t compete with the bookmatched veining

Powder room
The powder room is the most-seen room by guests, so it got the same slab treatment as the master bath — no “guest bath” downgrade. Same bookmatched slab, same brushed gold three-hole faucet, same white quartz countertop. Compact footprint but zero shortcut on finish level.
